ancient friend
Poise when being strong
Strength for living long
Length of life in every moment
It is yours, you fucking own it
A never-ending breathing now
When feeling stressed please take a bow
Love your Self, you've made it far
So bright, that light within your heart
Beating, breathing, flowing water
Now please bow for mother, father
Their parents, then their parents make two rows
Your spiralling genetic code
The will for birth, and living life
You're still here in the present, right?
Remember, life is temporal
Said an ancient friend who you'll soon know
Dance on along your winding road
As adventure, mysteries unfold
There is one story like none else
Starring you, in your search for yourself
And who you are and why you came
What's more you than your name?
Here's one thing about your roots
About your parents. Theory or truth?
If they were not a dad or mama
Imagine this play, a thrilling drama
Love, truth, and triumph against all odds
Where science & nature, and demons & Gods
All unify, collaborate
With logic, chance, hope, and faith
Plus insecurity and suppressed fear
Of loss of all which we hold dear
The moral of the story, just hypothesize,
Maybe it's you, what if you're the prize
It ignites the flame and heals the burn
Excitement, divinity, lessons learned
Growth, passion, smiling mornings
Mistakes, empty cravings, mourning
Filed voids with smoke, screen, sleep, touch
Pills, liquids, powder. Excess, much
Pharmaceuticals, food, poisons, and such
Every vice, every crutch
At times you'll crave, that's cool too
Love every single part of you
Include everyone, and everything
Connected, inseparable parts of being
Any craving you long for today
Fill it with self love and it goes away
That's the prescription, the recipe
Enjoying life, gratefully
Your true self and who you are
One with cricket, moon and star
Portal, mountain, our very Sun
Where entangled wisdom comes undone
What you crave really is inside
That which circumstance once made you hide
You hear an ancient voice; you're told
You are perfect, you are whole
That voice is so familiar too
It really sounds a lot like you
Your Soul song sings of no more walls,
Open doors; and rising after falls
You hum it through a flowery field
Feeling rooted, connected, you yield.
Eyes closed, you look, across at you
Open, ready, totally nude
Looking back into your eyes
You realize to your surprise
What can't be really said with words
Yet you're here so that your song is heard
So reflected, your Self says to you
You are existence, you're my Truth
With or without eyes, all which I see
Is all you, is all me
Normality in queer theory
Like moments of eternity
So next time you walk by
Different selves, paths, and lives
Reconnect, reflect good vibes
Your old strength, new lustre for life
When you see yourself behind their eyes
Smile, and say, "Hi".
